This is officially my first post from the project that has taken me two months to complete. Now, I truly understand why people pay professionals to move and design their blogs. Yeah, it’s worth every penny, y’all. Somewhere around 900 posts have made the cut, though (you can’t pay someone to do that), and I truly do believe that everything here is worth reading. The address of the site you are currently reading is http://kingdomtwindom.net. You can still get here by way of http://kingdomtwindom.com, but if you update your bookmarks you can avoid the forwarding altogether. Either way is fine. If you have linked to a particular page, that link may or may not (depending on the page and post) still be active.

This was my labor of love, my lovelies: for my Savior, who should always be the center, but also for all of you. Every single blog feature you see here is the direct result of criticism (some loving, some not) from you wonderful people who allow me to feel good about blogging even when the laundry has begun to pile. I could blog without an audience, but those ad pennies would never turn to dollars (not to mention the friendships I would miss). And we certainly wouldn’t be able to support our three sweet Compassion boys without that help!

If you haven’t checked out our new “About Us” page, please do. I know that the out-of-state relatives are going to love it. But since we think of many of you as “out-of-state family,” I really did that for all of you.

While I realize that the majority of our readers are Christians, I am also aware that people randomly stumble through for a wide variety of reasons. The “Come to Jesus” page was designed with that in mind. The kids and I have a lot of fun plans for that page!

If you scroll down a bit, you’ll notice that only the first post is shown in full. The others are truncated. This is true when you are reading from a category page as well. We like to post a large number of photos, and until now they’ve been making the blog not only sluggish but difficult to search. I’m hoping this new feature will work well for everyone. For those who read everyday, the “…” option will be irrelevant. And for those who don’t, skimming over irrelevant (to you) topics will now be much easier.

Not wanting to burden our brand new readers, however, who might simply want to start at the beginning and read on through, the archives’ pages do not include truncated posts.

You may have noticed that the blogroll is temporarily down. I’m designing a separate page and will be including your blogs again very soon. If you link to Kingdom Twindom +1, and would like to be included in the blogroll, please get in touch with me and let me know.

The only sad part, for me, about this new design is that I’ve lost all of the Disqus comments in the move. And, to tell you the truth, I miss them.

Feel very free to comment away!

  3. I would love to be on your blog list. I have enjoyed keeping up with your family over the years and I would love to invite your readers to check out our family blog as well. “Never A Dull Moment” is about our life with 4 little boys. One of our sons was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and oh what a journey we took to get him where he is today! Thank God for guiding us in the right direction to the best doctors in the country.

  4. I do love it! I will admit I was concerned at first when I went to the original http://www.kingdomtwindom.com and was informed that the page couldn’t be found. So I searched you on facebook and found you here. :) So glad you didn’t quit blogging or anything crazy. :)

  8. I do love it! And I do read daily! Or at least check in whenever you have a new blog post come up in my feed and I link to you from my blog.

I am excited to see the plans you have in store for the “Come to Jesus” page. When I first read that, the song immediately began playing in my head. Love it!
