Thank you so much for journeying with me this month! I pray God has used these 31 days to heal wounds long left alone. If He has, I’d love to hear from you!

31 Days to Lovely: A Journey of Forgiveness

Everyone has pain. It’s not the amount we’ve
suffered that makes us strong. It’s not our individual pain that
makes us special, but our response to it absolutely can. No
matter what painful life situations you have created or had
created for you, God is standing by, ready and eager to mold
them for His glory—whatever the situation!

Do you believe that? Then you have to give it all to
Him. You cannot hold back that little piece of pain that you
hide under your pillow and take out at night and admire. Yes,
I believe we admire, even idolize, our pain. “Look at how
much I’ve suffered; no one has been through more than me!”
And, maybe, “No one else could have possibly survived
this!”

It’s time to draw a line in the sand, a line that says
you will no longer allow Satan to haunt you with painful
memories or vain imaginations. Let this commitment also
include that you will no longer define yourself by what you
have suffered. Your testimony acknowledges your pain; it
doesn’t center around it! You can trust Jesus with your hurts
and disappointments; He cares for you. Yesterday is over;
you have only to let it go. – 31 Days to Lovely

Jesus, I’m ready to let go. I want to see myself
and others through your eyes. I no longer have a
desire to hold onto the things that have held me and
chained me for so long. I am forgiving, and I am
lovely; I am ready to live in your freedom!
